Christmas meeting @ 12-12-2006 08:40 PM
In our lodge we have a Christmas meeting - we basically open and close the lodge in the first degree - retire to the south and have a big festive board. All partners and kids are invited and each brother brings two gifts - one for a lady and one for a man. its all very nice and a nice chance for wives girlfriends and kids to get involved
Is this similar for most of you guys?
Any cool Christmas traditions
Matt

I don't know about that... I can't remember us going to anything like that for Lodge. However I know my grandmother's Grand Family has a Christmas together, but they do it the first of the year because December is so hectic.

At our last meeting we had xmas decorations up as the Hall is used by other organisations as well as for our Temple.
Tomorrow night we have booked a restuarant for about 70 for our partners as well for a christmas dinner and music after.

Thats so nice. My husbands lodge holds a christmas party for the kids of members, and later in the year we hold a ladies night where the lodge pays for the ladies and the guys have to pay full price.
