Is a tyler or outer guard, outside the door really necessary with the technology available such as surveliance cameras and security alarms. Should we be in the 21st century technology?
Any thoughts!

I totally agree Dave and there are alot of traditions being lost over the years.
It is a shame these traditions are being lost and we can not even remember some of them.
Lets see what other responses we get. (to having automatic laser guns outside to ward off intruders and cowans!)

I say keep the tyler as well althought a futuristic robot with a lazer sword sounds very tempting!!! ;D
