Does your lodges East face true East, if not, does it bother you?

Our lodge does face east ;D there are some in nearby cities that do not face east...but a lot of lodges arent made of brick either ???

That always confused me at first , They say to face the East but
our lodges WM geographically sits in the south end of the room.

Yes at first view it is confusing but Masonry is speculative and most Lodge rooms are not custom built for this purpose so as I said, I do not think it is that important to geographically correct as long as the principles are correct!
It also depends on the form or shape of the lodgeroom in use. We use a restaurant basement so we set the lodge out lenghtways. I think the master geographically sits in the north and faces south.
It would be interesting to know how many lodges are actually correctly laid out in geographical terms.

there is a town near me that had moved their lodge to the old VFW so they arent east facing anymore...
we are also in the process of building a new lodge in our town, the one I am in

Thats a good question as we have the "east" in OES as well. Im going to my Papas today and will ask him if we built the Lodge properly. Hell know! BBL
