I was not afraid but a bit apprehensive beforehand.

I was the same as Peter. Felt the same the first time that I was Installed as WM too (and the other 6 times as well)

It is great to watch candidates on their Initiations. I feel so much for them and want to reassure them all the way around that things will be OK. I did this when I was JD and it made them feel so much calmer. What frightened me was the gavel everytime it was used as everything was so quiet!
I was relieved when it was all over but then started to worry about the festive board and the speech!

I remember my leg kept shaking cause I was in a bad position and it shook hard...but I couldn't see anything so I didn't really care much...LOL!

I was afraid the first time ,but it states in the ritual to follow your condutor and fear no danger

I'll admit I was scared, however, the brothers quickly made me feel welcome and a calmness came over me......especially when the H.W. came off and I was exposed to masonic light.

I just didn't realize so many people was watching me, LOL
