I believe in heaven and hell so I guess when You die you either live (as a spirit) in heaven or hell. If I cannot go to heaven then make me a zombie. Zombies are cool!

Hi everyone. Is there life after death, such a great topic! I have a BS in metaphysicis and this was a topic that always got the best debates going in class. I believe there is life after death but not the type of life we have here on earth. I honestly believe everything is known to us when we die. I also believe that there is a thin veil that seperates us from the other world. We will live but in a different form. I think when the earth was first made that other beings walked on our earth and mated with those of our species. This hybrid is what we are today, so maybe dieing is just a way to get back to the place of our origins.

Do we have a life after death, no.

Do we live after death, yes.

Contradiction in terms maybe, not in my mind. Let me explain.

When we die, we die, regardless of burial method, faith, etc that is it for us as a living being, but we can live on in others.

Our parents live on in us, as we will live on in our children. The same as our actions in the world can give us almost immortality.

Elvis, Martin Luther King Jr, Ghandi, are prime examples of how we live on after we pass.

For me this was the true meaning of life after death, that the moral actions of us can create an immortal impression on the world, the same as Gengus Khan, Hitler, Stalin etc left an immortal impression as well, just a negative one.

We touch people everyday, and leave an impression of some sort. Whether it be the person doesnt give you a second thought, or remembers you to their dying day good or bad.

The impression you make is past on to others, even those you never meet through those you do.

Life after death, no, but you can live for ever in the hearts of the people you touch.

I believe in some form of afterlife because of mans natural desire to worship. I would not understand the logic of the almighty if he created a creature of our intellectual capibility and ability to understand death, if nothing at all lies beyond the end of known existance.
