I personally think that all Masons are equal whatever amount of work you put into ritual. There is a lot of work that goes on outside the Lodge in the communities that is not seen in Lodge. I have done community work for the elderly in repairing their housing, making sure they have hot running water etc. I would not want this mentioned in Lodge or praised for it as I see it part of Charity. Although you only get out of freemasonry what you put in, some people have more time than others.
I do put a lot of time into freemasonry in and out of lodge (all 5 of them) but someone who works fulltime and can only attend lodge once a month will never win an award but this makes him no less a Mason than a permanant award winning Mason.
The regalia reward you get for being a good mason is being presented with Provincial rank after you have gone through the chair but the feel good factor, knowing in your own mind what you have done to upkeep your obligation. Only the GAOTU can reward you for that.
