One day Master Mason classes @ 09-23-2006 05:41 PM
Masons all over the US are becoming distressed at the spreading practice of large "One-Day Classes". Is this a disrespectful cheapening of our degrees and heritage, or a necessary solution for desperate grand lodges in the face of declining membership. Are we producing committed and educated brothers, or a horde of ignorant "McMasons"? Is this our future, or a dead-end?
What are your opinions on this subject of one day Master Mason classes. Please keep your opinions polite!

I went traditional way, but it was because I had the time and I was able to complete all three degrees. Lots of men have gone through Blue lightening because of conflicting work schedules. Although Shawn cannot be there at our meetings he stays informed through me. He is very curious about the York Rite and the Scottish Rite and I hope someday our work schedules will allow us to attend

Yes I agree Dave. Which ever path we have taken, at the end of the day we are all Masons and Brothers!

I have only just started but a long way to go. I wish I had joined when I was your age. I am twice your age so when you reach my age you would have been in Masonry 22 years! Scary isnt it! ;D
Thats why I use these forum every day and learn something new every day. You are never to old or to young to stop learning, it just taking longer to sink in the older you get! ???
