The wait is over @ 07-06-2007 09:46 AM
Well everyone my petition was submitted I was voted in a couple of days ago. I am very excited. I can't wait to start my journey. I am looking forward to meeting new friends and doing the working involved with the Lodge. Many have taken the path I am about to walk and I am honored to be a part of that. I do not know when I will have initiation yet so I will update you guys on that. Until then. But I am curious about how long one usually takes to complete all three degrees. I know your allowed how ever long until your ready but I was wanting to know how long some of you may have taken. Anyway take care, until then

Depends even more on where you are. In the US, a month and a day per degree is a rule-of-thumb minimum (unless there's to be a one-day class in your jurisdiction -- a recent and still controversial innovation where a large number of candidates from throughout an entire state are taken through all the degrees bang-bang-bang, sometimes including one of the Rites as well, or even the Shrine). In Continental Europe (and I think most of the rest of the world) the rule-of-thumb is more like a year and a day per degree.

It is 3 months here but depends how many meetings and candidates you have per year. We have 7 meetings a year so you would not do all 3 degrees in a year. We never do double degrees here.
